Alvaro is a Director at Amrop Peru and Amrop Central America since 2011, where he manages executive search and board member search assignments on behalf of local and international organizations.  He is also responsible for our internal human resources and information system functions, as well as continuous improvement initiatives.

He has 15 years of experience in the fields of finance, strategy, business development and project management. During his previous career he held leadership positions at Citibank, PwC, Oracle and Pluspetrol. He has also worked in various countries of Latin America and in Canada. He recently held the position of Manager, Business Advisory at PwC Peru, where he managed strategic planning, business process improvement, and corporate social responsibility / sustainability projects. During this time, he was focused on developing and implementing value add solutions for his clients in the mining, energy, agriculture, fishing, and financial services industries.

B.A. in Economics from The University of Western Ontario, Canada.  He has also attended the Advanced Management Program at Escuela de Dirección, Universidad de Piura

He is also Partner at Pacific Investment Partners, a Venture Capital consultancy he founded in 2010. He was Director of the Sustainable Development Committee at The American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) from 2007 until 2009. Founder and Director, NGO Asociación Civil GestionaRSE from 2006 until 2010.
