Biography

Giacomo Santucci joined Amrop ASA in 2010.

He has worked with numerous iconic luxury brands, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci and Prada. He started his career in Montedison working in the field of chemical fibers (one of Giacomo’s two PhDs is in nuclear engineering), shortly afterwards he seized the opportunity to join the fashion industry, working as the executive business assistant to Ferruccio Ferragamo. Subsequently, Giacomo joined McKinsey where he was given the responsibility of developing a new client portfolio within the luxury industry. This was a unique opportunity to gain broader experience and exposure in luxury. Among his clients he had the chance to meet with Mr. Bertelli and he joined Prada, where he spent 6 years as his deputy and as CEO of all the newly acquired brands of the group (Helmut Lang, Church, Jil Sander and Fendi).

He joined Gucci Group in 2001, where Giacomo was given various areas of responsibility. First and foremost, he was CEO of the Gucci brand, the Group’s most important asset.  Parallel to his CEO role, Giacomo was a Group Vice President.

Giacomo has also worked for Value Partners and in 2004 founded his own Consultant firm, Creative Consulting, supporting private equity funds, fashion companies and providing a range of consultant services.
