Since joining the current Polish partner firm of Amrop in 2004, Rafal has recruited numerous CEOs and Board Members for the international companies doing business in Poland, as well as the locally-grown enterprises. The main areas of Rafal's expertise include top executive and senior management appointments in banking and financial services, asset management, private equity, but also in the pharma and biotech industries. Rafal's biggest asset is his intimate knowledge of the inner workings of various-sized companies from the management's perspective.

Born in Poland, Rafal received his high school degree from the University of London. Rafal also lived in the United States of America where he completed his university education: undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the The Ohio State University) and graduate degree (Master of Business Administration at the University of California). Straight out of college, he joined Kimberly-Clark Corporation. After successfully climbing the corporate ladder for 6 years in the US, he convinced his then employer, Avery Dennison Corporation, to start their operations in Poland, which he developed from a greenfield into a major market player. Before joining Amrop, he also ran such companies as Bertelsmann Media (Managing Director), Medical Tribune (President), and Arka-Invesco pension fund (President).

Rafal's hobbies include reading historical books, politics and listening to good music. He also enjoys good wine and cigars in good company. He is married and has one son.
