Rob’s early career was in the gold mining industry in Western Australia. He then worked in the UK for News Limited and the BBC. On returning to Australia, he became the Senior Industrial Correspondent for ‘The Australian’. He later served as a policy adviser to Victorian and Commonwealth cabinet ministers, advising on economic policy, industrial relations and communications. He also worked for the international packaging and building products company ACI Ltd. Rob undertakes senior search assignments across a diverse range of industries from manufacturing to tourism. In the public sector he works in health, treasury and finance and the arts. He is regarded as Australia’s leading search consultant in the higher education sector and has advised on more than 60 senior university appointments including Vice-Chancellors for universities across Australia. He has also been involved in the appointment of Principals to many of Australia’s top independent schools. Rob studied modern languages at the University of Melbourne and attended Melbourne University Business School.
